veild chameleon having problems HELP!!

i have a veild chameleon about 5 months now and everything was fine untill about a week ago he stopped eating and would only eat if i put it directly infront of him and now i just got home and found that he has poop stuck on his bum with a RED THING behind it

could someone tell me what it is and what to do about it please and thank you

can you post a pic pls?
If its red, its possible its a prolapse.
get some ky jelly and put some on it it keep in moist, then go to the vet.

is ky jelly the same as vaseline?

or should i not do anything and take it to the vet

no KY is a lubricant. If you don't have that just keep it wet with regular water. Yes, I would take it directly to the vet.

I hear sugar water can sometimes help get it back in. But that is a prolapse.

Good. Just keep applying ky. also try soaking his butt in warm sugar water. I hear somtimes that can help the prolapse slip back in,
