veil chameleon set up what do you think

Hey Gary90, Here's my input. First off, He needs to be able to get to his basking area. You need more vines and foliage at the top! Chams are arboreal and prefer to be up high. For a male 5 month old you should have a basking area around 88 to 94 degrees. You also will need more leaves for him to feel secure. Hope you are feeding him a varied diet mostly of crickets, and not only meal worms. They can lead to digestive issues. Although it is normal for a veiled to eat leaves, this could be a sign of dehydration. Make sure his enclosure has a humidity level around 40 to 60% and mist the enclosure a few times a day. You will need more leaves to collect water so your boy can drink! 18 x 18 x 36 is good for now, but for a male you should plan on a larger enclosure soon. It didn't look like you were dusting your feeders either. There are some basic care sheets available on the forum that are a great starting point! Good Luck with your new addition!

(You said to be honest ;) ) :D

Yep, but it is sometimes a way to get hydrated. Not saying there is a problem, because my veiled also eats vegetation, but just make sure he isn't dehydrated. (Urates will generally be yellow to orange when dehydrated, not bright white.) If you want to get some more ideas on how your setup is, fill out the "How to ask for help" and ask for any tips the forum might have. This is often more beneficial than just a picture, (but we do love pics) and will offer more details for us so we don't answer things that you are doing correctly! Good start though!

I second that, more foliage and branches, especially at the top. It's not very bad, but could be better ;)
If he likes eating plants, you could offer him some friuts and veggies, or keep a basil plant in there.
Best of luck with you guy! :)
