I came home to my 6 month veiled to being freezing cold, but his cage was around 60 degrees. As I wen to get close to him he started making a weird noise while is mouth was open. I get him out and was holding him. He got very dark with a pattern that he has never shown. He again opened his mouth to try and make the what sounded like a hissing noise and he started to make a bubble with is mouth. This happened again and again. I finally went to go put him back into his enclosure and he as he was walking he fell. Completely lost his balance and looked very disoriented. He was lost almost. This is very scary, I also do not believe that where I live there is a vet that knows a thing about reptiles. Please if anyone has any idea help!!!!

Everything you describe sounds like he was sleeping. If your chameleon turns black and is acting lethargic from handling it is best to put the animal back in the enclosure and on the floor.

Apart from the bubble........and it depends what time of day this was. If he just woke up the coldness and weird noise plus disorientation could be explained..........Sounds like a potential respiratory infection to me though. A vet is needed, and even if you don't find a reptile expert they should be able to give antibiotics.
