UVB's and tree's

i have a repti glo 5.0 compact i just put in a nice size umbrella tree it seems to be doing fine. been in there for a week or 2 now and my ? is will my UVB keep my plant alive? im just guessing it would since it replicates the sun in some way. so do i need a grow light or will my UVB/lights in room be ok?

That & your basking bulb should keep it going. If you wanted more growth add a 6500k cfl.

The uvb doesn't put out the light that'll really make it flourish! I poped a 6500k on my cage 2 weeks ago and all my pothos leaves have perked up and the new leaves seem to be coming in with alot of yellowish gold! So with uvb or not with proper drainage and watering ur plant will live but a 6500k will allow it to thrive! And 6500k may be almost required for some plants. in my situation my pothos.. simple put.. can't be killed

thanks guys so that just went on the list of things to get. im out of a job at this sec but my cham is fine just need to find a job befor money runs out. should be fine im not worried just wanted to make sure my plant was ok till i could add some more things to my cage. Any idea on what a grow light like the one your talking about will run me?

I went to walmart and got a pack of 2 daylight compact flourcent of CFL's for 7 bucks.. absokute cheapest I could find. Daylight being 6500k but make sure it says 6500k. There should he a graph on the back indicating.
