UVB lights-question

is a repti-glo 5.0 swirly looking light not good for chams? everyone's saying you need the tube. is it not the same thing but in a different shape?

Check the link on the third post down. There was an issue with a different phosphorus compound used in the compacts, and not in the tubes. It was mostly noted with the 10.0's but best to be on the safe side.

Absolutely not.
This is potentially a very dangerous light for your chameleon.
You need the Repti-SUN (not glo) fluorescent linear tube.
