UVB Light in a black light fixture

I have 2 black lights in storage that they include the fixtures, Can I put a UVB light in them instead of buying one of those fixtures from the petstore? Just want your opinions before having to go spend alot more money for something I possibly could use... the fixture is like the one in the picture. Thanks

The answer is yes.... it should work fine.

I am 95% sure.

The only glitch *could* be if they are quite old and have older magnetic "tar" ballasts in them.

The newer more efficient t8 flo. tubes do not work well with those old ballasts.

Try it and see.
:D
The worst that could happen is you will need to then get a new fixture... but you would have had to anyway.

Cheers!
