I am looking to buy a device that reads the amount of UVB light given off so I know when to change the light for my chameleon, I hear that they start to weaken over time. Anyone know of some good detectors?

Thanks

that is a great product to invest in. i think every serious herper should get one. it helps you not waste your uvb bulbs. you'll want the solar meter 6.2 uv meter.

Can't go wrong with Todd! I got the 6.2 Solar Meter. It may take a while to "make back" the money spent by not having to buy bulbs as often, but you also know when a bulb is bad. Instead of just going with the "Ok replace this in 6 months" you now will know when to replace it.

After getting it I tested all of mine and was shocked to find some that were only 2-3 months old, putting out less than 10 microwatts.

That is the link to it! I would not recommend going with any of the cheaper knock-offs.

Todd hasn't had them in a while. I've been looking to get one for a while. Does anyone know anywhere else one can be purchased?
