UVA rays - Necessary for chameleons? + UVB amounts

Hi Everyone,
I am using a Reptisun 5.0 fluorescent bulb for my 6 month old chamelon and it is placed on top of the screen cage. For the basking spot I am using a regular halogen bulb.

As far as I know not all halogen bulbs produce UVA rays and the Reptisun 5.0 produces UVA rays but how much of UVA is produced is an info that I could not find. Does anyone know if UVA rays are essential for chamelons? I am assuming it is but I would like to hear from someone who has info about what would happen when there isn't sufficient UVA. Will a halogen bulb used along with Reptisun 5.o provide the necessary amounts of UVA rays for a chameleon?

Also, what is the minimum distance you use between the topmost vine and the Reptisun 5.0 bulb? I see that many folks place the Reptisun 5.0 bulb right on top of the cage and this means that the chameleon can get very close to the bulb if it is walking on the top screen. Won't this affect the chameleons eyes?

Does anyone know what is the minimum amount of UVB that a chameleon should receive to remain healthy? I measured the output at the topmost vine, which is maybe about 6 inches from the top screen, and the output is about 30 micro watts/cm2. Is this enough for a young chameleon?

Thank you.
Michael
