Uv Light question?

Hi all, Does anyone know if its possible for a linear uv tube to be not putting out the correct uv, from new? but still produce light?

I dont have a uv testing machine, but wondered if linear bulbs can still produce light but be faulty from new? or would they not work at all, even though i understand they wear out in 6 months+ thanks.

Yes, it is possible that you have a dud. What makes you think it is?

Hi thanks for the reply, i think it might, as its a new reptisun 10 and it seems more white in colour? than my repti glow 10 which are more blue, i know they are different brands so this might be why,

But also it seems like the bulb flickers the smallest bit like pulses slightly??

And the most important thing is my Male Veiled has been dark in colour since, he is easilystressed though, but he seems darker, when i take him out in the sun he glows so much?

Think i might just get another incase?

Hi yeah i have always used to 10's outside of the mesh, and then jacked up on spacers about 3-4 inches from the mesh,

Lol i will. i am just trying to name him now, althoudh a little late lol but have a few names just trying to pick it for him,, he is bigger than my female veiled now growing so fast, i will get some up,
