Yeah, definitely more plants. What chameleon is going in the cage? I would recommend getting a good digital thermo/hygrometer and ditch the analog ones you have. If you stick with the analogs, i would put one at the top and one at the bottom, to measure basking (top) and ambient (bottom) temperatures.

And what is the piece of bark at the bottom for?

Did you build that cage? It looks nice, what size is it?

Id alsol cover the soil of all plants to prevent ententinal or acidental ingestion, eating dirt can cause impaction.

Are you going to have a misting system? If not, you are going to have a hella of time keeping the humidity up. Cut some limbs off a tree with lots of branches.

Yeah you guys are touching on topics Ive got covered, the reason behind the analogs is due to my luck with digi's. I havent had much of it, with the readings being accurate on previous setups and threw it away. Mistking is on the way (ordered) and i will be covering plants with the same screening used on cage, just not yet sense ive got more work to do. Ill be adding two pothos and a larger tree and a few plastic plants just to cover the sides a little. The bark on the bottom is actually cork and specifically designed to help with humidity and sense they were left over from a previous purchase and never used, Id figure i throw em in there to make the bottom not so BLAH :)
Dimensions are 48wx48tx20d. Made by me! Housing a Veiled

Great homemade cage! Get some jungle vines and give your cham some "highways" to traverse. Bigger and bushier plants are needed. I like to mix fake with real. The fake are easier to clean and don't die. As far as the dirt in the plants, I use a big pot so that I have about a 2" deep empty place to put river rock. I get my rock at Michaels, a craft store. I really like the drain at the bottom of your cage. I think you are on the right road.
