Ok guys so i wanted to see how charlie is doing before i take him to the vet and have them tell me there is nothing wrong and spend 80$ for nothing (i know i know i should take him anyway but money is scarse right now(and i know i know why did i get a chameleon if i have no money for vet bills, i did have money but due to some issues i dont have money right now)) he had some blood at the bottom of his terrarium yesterday and his hemipenis stuck out but went back in so its not a prolapse, i have been closley watching him today and he took quite a big poo with no blood at all and no yellow (so at least he is hydrated) after the poo he seemed to be trying to squeez out a clear liquid, could this be sperm? i wiped it off his vent after he gave up (hopeing it wouldnt turn into a sperm plug) i took him into my bathroom and steamed it up for about 5 min to get some more moisture in his skin and then outside to bask in the sun and he still seems like good old charlie. Anyone know what the clear liquid could be he was trying to squeez out?

hey, dont know bout the stuff that hes squeezing out but im glad to hear bout the no blood. must have been scary. one time louis' poop looked like it had blood in it but with closer examination, the red was because of a butterworm. needless to say it made my heart drop when i saw it. keep up the good work, hope all stays good.

hey i dont know where your taking him but i took louis to a vet called the links bird & animal clinic. its central t.o. 401 & young area. this isnt a sexit thing but the female doc working there didnt seem to know much bout chams. she wanted to print me an iguana caresheet & i got in an arguement with a trained professional. haha. i was right tho.the second time i brought him in,the gentleman who worked with my cham seemed to really know his stuff. he helped out big. unfortunately i forget his name.

im going to take him to either a vet that is located in high park on dundas st west or a vet on eglington

The blood could be from a freeing up sperm plug. Could also be from bacteria or parasites in the gut. If your vet will take a stool sample without requiring an exam , it shouldn't cost more than $35.

Glad to hear he is alright... did the vet give you any meds for him or take a stool sample to check for parasites? If he didnt I would bring in some poo just to get checked out... My vet down here charges 35 bucks for a parasite check... I know money is tight but I would get that checked....
