He seems to be settling in and happy. He is eating Fruit Flies and 1/8 in crickets. The flies won't stay in the cup but he is getting them off the plants.
What is a good supplement schedule as I understand they don't need as much. I have Repashy all in one and Rep-cal both w and wo D3, and herptivite. Can he eat all the flies he wants? I won't free range crickets except the few that escape, I know they can be dangerous to leave in with him.

Yes, he can eat all the flies he wants at this stage. It doesn't matter if they roam all over, but they don't like it when the flies crawl on them, lol! It is also possible to dust flies - you just need to put them into the fridge to slow them down, then shake a few into a sandwich bag (or similar) that has the tiny pinch of supplement in, shake the bag and then let the flies go into the cage. Crickets can also be dusted in this way before putting the feeder cup in the viv. I do the following with Monty as advised by jdog1027 - this regime worked very well for him, and so far Monty has done really well on it too.

Plain calcium 1 x per week
Vitamins WITHOUT D3 1 x per week and
Vitamins With D3 once every 6 weeks.
You only need the tiniest pinch for a few feeders. I usually put a little on the tip of a spoon before putting it into the bag with the feeders. You will hardly see anything on the feeders, but you don't want them to look like 'ghosts' as that would be too much supplement powder.

Jacksons can be very easily over supplemented, so it's better to gut load the insects as well as possible with calcium rich greens, etc. To feed the fruit flies in the viv I left a milk top of mashed banana with a pinch of calcium powder mixed in for them to feed on.

sounds good. I dust the FF and crickets the same for my frogs.
Thanks for all the advise. I could hardly sleep last night worrying about him.:D

I know they are a worry! I worried about Monty a lot to start with - kept checking on his temps all the time and his humidity level. I ran tests and took readings in the viv for a week before I got him to make sure everything was ok! As long as his temps are cool enough and he has plenty to drink, then he should be fine! Having heard that Jackson babies can be very difficult to raise didn't help matters either!
