U. Sikorae Progress!

So, I have had my 2 pair of uroplatus sikorae for over 2 years now. They are all incredibly healthy and have been thriving, but for the life of me and no matter what I have tried, I have not been able to get them to breed. BUT - late last week, one of my females (the prettiest one :D) laid a clutch of infertile eggs!! I know they were infertile becuase she glued them to a piece of bark and they were mushy - but it's a start!! I have been able to reproduce all the uroplatus groups that I have been keeping over the past couple of years, but these guys have been giving me fits. :p Progress!! :D Here's some pics of the egg-laying female (with white) and some others of my group (albeit not very good pics....):

That female sure is something else! What temp's are you keeping them at? I've been noticing them to like it a little bit warmer than the other Uros. Try 78-80ish... carefully though! :)

Amazing little guy. Thanks for the pictures, and good luck with your breeding project.

I am starting to really like some of the geckos, they are neat little buggers.

Thanks everyone!

Well, initially, I was keeping them in a cooler room (low-mid 70's) and in the late fall, I moved them to a room that was a little warmer and placed them by a window. Plus, I increased the humidity levels a tad over the winter (and have been continuing to do so), so I'm sure the location/temp change and higher humidity had something to do with it. Let's just hope this progress continues! :)
