Two New Chams! Carpet/Mitsio (photos!!)

Perhaps some people don't understand the concept of being compassionate, but I do. Had you attempted to keep him alive past his time, then I could understand what Neils was saying. Had you planned to breed him to pass along this genetic defect, I could understand what Neils was saying.
You did neither one, and I agree that his statements were incredibly rude and thoughtless and I don't think those are appropriate things to say to someone who has just had a pet die. You have every right to feel sad about your little guy. I'm sorry Nikki. :(

Just my 2 cents. NOW the thread can die.;)

I am sorry you lost the little guy Kenya.
I see nothing wrong with trying to give it a good life while it was here. It is not like she was making bug shakes for it to survive. Something with that type of defect could have a fighting chance and a decent life in captivity. Since it was born in captivity I see absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a "pet" with a defect or handicap.
jmo here, but I see nothing wrong with having a handicap animal as a pet....
