My painted turtle did something I have never seen him do before. He was sitting on his turtle dock and had propped himself up on the side of the aquarium to get more heat from the light. So I walk up to aquarium and peak over the top to watch him. He sees me then jumps down so he is flat on his dock. Then he picks him self up with his front legs like two male tortoises squaring up. Then he gaps at me and is trying to swipe at me with one of his front legs. He has never done this before. He usually just ignores me or jumps in the water. Maybe he thinks he is big stuff now, even though he is only 2 inches long.
