Turning 2 Screen Cages Into A Huge Cage?

I picked up these 2 24"24"48" screen cages a couple weeks back. Waldo is in one and Kayla is in the other one. But Waldo still climbs on his screen. So I was thinking about taking out the 2 pieces of panels and enlarging it into one big cage. But I'm not to sure on how to attach the two together. I'm searching for a new cage for Kayla.

Sounds like a lot of work I would make a new wood frame to connect the four new screen connections. And I would keep the two doors in different sides so u don't have to mess with them.

Will that actually keep him off the screen though? They like to roam a lot anywhere they can.

I'd use self tapping screws that are long enough to hold but not long enough to go through into the cage. Big clamps would help keep it together and squared while you're screwing them together. Are you going to keep both doors, so you have easy access to the entire cage?

Yea I have full intention in keeping the doors. Only thing that going to look weird is the doors aren't exactly the same. One is bigger than the other. What size on the self tapping screw

You'll have to measure the two pieces you're putting together and go slightly smaller. If I had to guess, I'd say 1/2 inch, but definitely double check. Remember you'll have to detach and reattach the hinge on the one door, and probably replace the little storm tab that locks the bottom door, if it's riveted on instead of a screw. I'm guessing that you're taking the back off one, and the side of the other? Or are you putting them back to back? Back to back would be easier b/c you wouldn't have to mess with the doors. But a door on the side might be easier if you're putting the back against the wall. If your stand is on wheels, then it wouldn't make too big a difference either way. Sorry I'm rambling. :)
