Treatment for Outdoor Branches

I know this has been posted elsewhere on this forum, because I have seen it, but I can't seem to find it currently :(

I am looking at adding some branches to my cage and know there are two ways to "clean" them. One is baking and one is cleaning with bleach. The problem I have is I have no idea on the specifics of how much bleach to clean with, if they need to soak, how long they need to bake for, what temperature they need to bake at, etc. I will probably soak them in bleach then bake them just to make doubly sure everything is dead. Plus it will help dry the branches out that last little bit if for some reason they aren't fully dry.

So any insight would be greatly appreciated and sorry I couldn't seem to find the answer I wanted. I looked through over 10 pages of threads and then gave up lol :p

i scub mine with a wire brush and dish soap and then rinse and bake at 300 but mist the branches to keep them from catching fire

soap and water is fine too to wash any pesticides off. I have never baked or use bleach and my chameleon is just fine!!!

i wouldnt worry about pesticides unless you use them on the branches in your back yard. or if youre collecting them from a location where the use would be a possibility.

i only ever use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. kill off any spores, mites or stuff that my have been in bird poo.
