Too much calcium

Hi all. What are the dangers for a Cham to have too much plain calcium in their diet?

My baby Yemen has a White nostril, isn't this a sign of too much?

it could be. It could also just be salts that he is releasing through his nostrils. Try cutting back on all supplements and see what happens.

Mostly this is not a sign of too much calcium...Most minerales chameleons deposit over their "salt glands" are potassium and sodium. They can save water that way - so you just should be sure he's well hydrated and has enough possibilities to drink. And: You can't feed too much calcium as long as the D3 supplementation/UV lightning is fine, because chameleon's body eliminates pure calcium then via feces.

Too much calcium could interfere with idodine uptake, but
white crusty discharge at nostrils is more likely salts than calcium related.
