Hi all. Is 33-34C (91-93F) to cold of a basking spot for an adult male veiled? I'm having trouble getting my temps spot on 35C (95F)

I'd say something like 8-12 inches at most.

If your temp probe is at 8-12"... which is a big window... and you get 93.... your fine. Remember, if the probe is 8-12" the cham is prolly 4-8"from the probe. This is fine for a veiled....I am sure he can stand up closer and darken enough to get the temps he wants. If you wanted to save energy, I bet you could lower the wattage of the lamp and move the vine up higher.

I give 50W lamps to my chams and I place the basking vines close to the lamp... this way they can get close easily and im paying half as much money per month to heat them at half the distance.;)

Yeah I could do if I was that fussed but I really aint bothered atm. If it becomes an issue I will :)
