hi my chameleon is approximately 4months old and when he shoots his tongue he misses about 3/7 of the time. Is this just a stage cuz he is quite yound or is this a problem???

Mine is about 4 months as well. I see that he ends up missing more when I am watching him from close up. Probably cause he has 1 eye on you and not both on the target.
When I watch him from across the room he tends to hit his target almost everytime.

i have no clue, im sure someone would help... my friend is very good with this so ill ask her to help... if it was my geuss, probably no help... but eye issues? making it harder for him to see the prey hes shooting at, or he could have (As i just learned a few mins ago) Vitamin defficiency, that may be able to cause him to not have as much velocity with his tongue shooting? I am 100% not sure though, wait for other experts, i am just a 'Nooby' Still sort of

OHH I also read That there is nothing that sticks at the end of the tongue but its a muscle much like a suction cup, if imm correct, i believe it was dodolah that told me this Sorry if im wrong dodolah... is he actually missing his prey, or is he hitting and not sticking?

he is missing the prey. and he never eats if im not around! its sooo weird, he literally waits for me to walk in the room to eat! sounds crazy but its true

How do you know hes not eating if you cant see him? does he have a feeding dish you check?
