To cut or not to cut?

I am setting up my first enclosure and I was playing around with the dripper setup today.I am trying to decide if I should cut the screen and run through the hole or just go through the screen on top? I no it is silly but I have a virgin cage and I am having a hard time cutting it. Wanted to get feedback and see what the consensus is. Thanks.

What type of dripper do you have? You can usually run them without having to make a hole in the enclosure.

I would not cut. If the "point of drip" (yes thats a technical term:p) is a few inches above the screen, it will fall straight through. If the POD is directly on the screen, it runs a chance of pooling up on top of the enclosure. So just make sure your POD is elevated, and you shouldnt have to cut.

Solid answers. As for the type, it is the classic little dripper from Zoo med. I now need to figure a way to hang it slightly elevated over the enclosure, any ideas?

Yes:)
I set mine on the light fixture. If that is not applicable, I would set something across the corner of the frame of the cage, and put it on top of that;)

You mean the drip falling through the screen? I dont know, I pretty sure the mesh is closer woven, if so it maybe more difficult. Theres only one way to find out!:D
