A few days ago I purchased a apx 1yr old male veiled Cham (<--new lingo) from a resale page. I am totally in love and you know what he loves me too. The couple that had him took pretty good care of him, just needs vitamins which have not been part of his diet. He is in an awesome half screen half glass enclosure. The guy went to put on the glove to get him out and I kinda just put my hand in there real slow under his face and by his foot. He walked onto my hand with not too much encouragement. The man then told me that he hisses at him.
Me and my kids 2&3 were so excited to bring him home. I have been holding him everyday, I don't touch him too much, he just likes to chill in my hand. I very closely monitor my children and if I let them hold him it is for 2
min on their shirt with no touching. My boys are very mature with animals. I am so excited that I got a friendly Cham. I was able to feed him some mill worms from chopsticks while he sat on my hand!! I am stoked because everything I am reading says they can be aggressive and hiss and bite and don't really like to be bothered. Is it common to find friendly Chams? Will he stay this way? Any advice for me?
