It's a fire picked up by the wind so it travels...as someone who's evacuated due to fire storms and who's sister lost her pets due to fire storms, I don't find that particularly unusual or odd or whatever. It's just what happens.

I am glad that you folk have not had to experience that first hand.

Thank you, but please do not feel bad. It's one of those recurring fears but honestly, I have many.

I appreciate the beauty of it (if you aren't in its path) and understand why it's something people comment on.

When you are looking out the car window at flames licking the edge of the freeway, it does give you some perspective on the "wonder" of the whole thing...I honestly don't think that video conveys it!
