things i should ask when buying

Where are you buying it from? Find out what feeders it eats, what type of method it drinks from, what supplements they have been using, what gutload they have been using for feeders. Any prior medical issues it has had. If it has ever had a fecal done or seen a vet. How often it normally poops. What kind of lighting they have been using. Look for sunken eyes, curved limbs, make sure it has a strong grip, can shoot its tongue properly. Make sure it is not closing its eyes for any period at any time during the visit like it looks as if it sleeping. These are just some of the things I can think of to look for and to ask about off the top of my head.

Are you buying from a store or a private person? What do they feed him, how often, what lighting system do they use [no uvb lights and he may have mbd]. Does he have a medical history, any issues with parasites, bruses or breaks, eye issues. May want to see him eat a cricket or two, is his tongue shoot ok? Hold him, if he's scared and runs thats probably a good sign. Is his grip strong? Check his cage, if its roomy, clean with proper lighting and dripper, mister you know the owner cared enough to ensure a health enviornment for the cham. Good luck their great pets.

I am sorry I should have clarified that better! Sorry, not blinking, just sitting there closing its eyes for any period of time is usually not a good sign.
