i am impressed! i love to build my own things and this is an incredible bout of inspiration! i am curious to know how much all of this has cost you in reference to the misting system you have designed. i am debating whether i should buy or build my own mister. i have only one chameleon so it isn't like i need anything intense.

I am not sure how much I have spent. If I were to know exactly what to buy for each little project I am sure the bill would be less.... But i'll buy something and try it.. then it isn't exactly right so I try something else. So I have a bunch of extra hose fittings and hose laying around.
As far as building one and buying one pre-made... That would depend on how much pride you want in your setup. I really like just making things and playing around with random stuff (I played with Legos a lot when I was little). So I like saying I built my own system. But if I wanted the hassle free one time purchase, I would buy it from Herpmist.com. I like what I see of his system.
to give a run down of what I purchased and a rough estimate of the cost....
I think the pump was around $50-60 on ebay
Accumilator was $45 at West Marine, again ebay has these.
The tank was $30 on ebay from an RV supply store
I prolly spent $30-40 dollars on hose clamps, fittings and junk
The filter was $30-40
$40-50 on hose and misting jets
The electric valves are from eBay $13 each
The home automation modules cost me about $60-70 on eBay
This has been an ongoing project. I am always buying something new to change how it works. So I have no idea how to come up with an accurate list of parts lol.
