So i want to build a larger enclosure for my male jackson cham but of coruse like anyone who isen't strapped for cash lately? But I wanted to do something to make him happier in the mean time. So i went to the store got a roll of screen and looked around the house for supplies. And this is what i came up with....
The top is a white metal bar material i got from an old rat cage i had and the front door is made of extra cage peices from the same rat cage (disinfected of coruse!) The structure i made out of a old cat play center that i zip tied the screen to and the bottom is an extra peice of acrylic plastic sheeting stuff i had and drilled a hole in for drainage. Still need to prop it back up on its bricks but here's a couple pics of the finished product. What do you think?
I even extened the top so that the bars hold the light fixture in place when i'm fooling around in the cage. Still need to add a couple more plants and fix the vines....:p

opps forgot pics

I say it looks great, especially being made from things you already had handy!

Im curious what watt bulb you are using for basking though? As well as what kind of basking temps you are getting.

oh and the other lamp i just bought and thats the bulb that came with it. i'm putting the 5.0 uvb bulb in tonight before i put him in tommro. just finished the set up with trees and more vines.
:D basking temps are 85 right at the basking spot and 70 near the middle. its alot easier to create diff temp zones with a larger cage

Do what you gotta do! Recycling parts is always great. I've never tried pvc framing. Thanks for sharing.
