Temperature and Humidity

Hi I have an analog thermometer and hygrometer.

How do I take accurate readings? such as at the basking point

Do I leave the thermometer there for a few minutes?

Thanks

analogs are said not to be so accurate. Digital is preferred. If that is all you have right now, as far as the basking spot, take the gauge and place it exactly in the spot where your cham will sit on the branch, vine etc and let it sit there until it reaches its maximum temp

I have the Fluker's thermo-hygrometer.

It is digital, but it kind of acts like an analog thermometer so I just said analog.

Should I leave it there for a few minutes until it reaches max?

Thanks

That's what I did. I am assuming that is the way to do it! It maxes out and so you have your temp.
