How do you know if its an compact bulb or not? Also during the day the tempature is around 75-79 and at night its at 72-74, is this good for baby veiled

Dave please us the search button located here https://www.chameleonforums.com/search.php a lot of your threads don't need to be posted cause plenty of other people have asked the same questions. You search you will find your answer.
Gotta agree there. Not that I don't think everyone loves helping you dave, but you make a bunch of new topics a day with mostly questions answered in the kitty blog. I think reading that is a much more comprehensive way of compiling information rather then trying to pick it up in bits and pieces by fragmented questions on the forum. 25 posts a day has to be some kind of record.

Good luck.

lol i did not know about the search option, big help there, but i do have a questin about the bulb i am using, i am gonna pick up a UVB long bulb here shortly. Should i take this bulb back to the store or should i keep it? Heres a picture,

well i already bought it. It was 6.99 , not a big deal on money. This is the right kind of light though correct?

Ya, that should be fine for a basking light - just remember to position it such that the rigth temp is achieved where the chameleon will bask, and that the chameleon can not touch the bulb (burn)

That and a UVB Reptisun 5.0 will be just fine. Just make sure the basking bulb doesnt get too hot, control the temp with distance.
