Tanny, Nosy Be and the Resort Photos

How was the flight from Tana to Nosy Be?
I would highly recommend you avoid Madagascar Airlines if at all possible. The flight itself going over wasn't bad but checking in at the airport to get boarding passes was a nightmare. We waited in line over an hour and were second back from the counter and the agent just left. No announcement or anything and everybody just kept standing there thinking she was coming back but she never did. We moved over to what they called business check in and waited in another line but we did make out flight. Going back was much worse. When we got to the airport 2 hours before our flight the airport was closed. The flight was delayed for 7 hours.
We were lucky enough to have a driver that was willing to take us to Hellville and wait for us while we looked around. Then when he took us back to the airport 5 hours later a few people were starting to show up at the airport. If we ever go again we will go to Rome first. They have a direct flight from Rome to Nosy Be.Elizadolots

I agree that the difference between the resort and the village is shocking. I suspect it means something very important but this is probably not the forum to discuss it.

Absolutely stunning photographs Jann!! I LOVE them all but i particularly liked the vibrant red flower picture - do you know what kind it was?? Also, your resort looked so pretty and serene. Whenever we go on vacation (I love Mexico!) we always seem to stay at resorts that are packed with people and kids (which is what fits for us now as we have kids) but I was amazed at the sheer 'quiet look' of your resort and the lack of people amazed me! I would KILL to stay at a serene, quiet resort like that!! I am also guessing the staff to visitor ratio is far outweighed by staff!!
