Taller Enclsoures for R.Brev?

He says his "tall" tanks are around 17" high.
I think as long as you can maintain the correct heat and humidity, with good ventilation, the height shouldn't be an issue. Post pics when you finish it.
I'm just setting up my Brev tank now, and it's really looking great. I'll post more pics in a few weeks. My tank is an Exo-Terra, and is 18Hx18Dx24L.

Yes, I've bred Pygmies in the past, but the eggs died because no one took care of them while I was away. I would have had 3 CB Pygmies, but like I said, they died. Currently I'm about to start Veileds, I have this cage empty, but was wondering, maybe like 2-4 Months from now I'll get em. Just because I'll have my Female Veiled, and possibly have eggs by then, I don't know if I will want to focus on another species, with eggs possibly coming in. That way, my current lizards would get the best care possible, and the Pygmies wouldn't get neglected, so, it all depends on if I have eggs yet or not.

I thought that pygmies lived on forest floors, so I assume that they wouldn't really need a taller cage.

Normally, yes, but its only a little taller than a regular cage, so I don't see why it would be bad. The Hydroton, and Coal, and Coconut Fiber would be about normal height then. I don't think it would be bad for them, but was asking if anyone had experience using a little taller cage.

The high tanks are actually recommended by Tom, and (I believe) mostly what he used.
Due to the substrate strata taking up the space that they do, a lower (long) tank does not afford much space for plants to grow.
There should not be any problems with humidity and a higher tank actually allows for a better temperature gradient.
I would think you could easily house a 1.2 group, probably 1.3 in that footprint.
