Swollen bottom jaw

Hi friends.
I have had my chameleon for two years and he has always been healthy. Yesterday morning I saw that his bottom jaw on the left side is swollen. I do not have a exotic pet vet within An hour of me so I plan on going this weekend but want to know if I can wait that long. Thanks!

Looks like an infection of some kind - hard to know from pics, but if it appeared overnight then likely it isnt a hard mass.

Def go to the vet as soon as you can - and if that jaw looks worse tomorrow, you might want to consider bumping up the appointment. If its an infection, the sooner you deal with it the better.

Why does it look like he is being soaked in water???????

This requires a vet. I agree with the above feedback. Looks to be an infection running a muck.

You said you were going to a vet already, as far as how long you have that is tricky. If overnight could be very fast spreading infection, could also be a harmless cist.

I would try to get hold of a an experienced vet on the phone and ask if he could recommend any over the counter treatment until he can be seen.

He’s not being soaked in water. He like playing with water drops out of the faucet. I had him out like that so I could get good photos of his face.

Thank you for your advice. I am waiting for the vet’s call.
