Super Worm - metamorphosis

I keep a bowl of super wormz in my chameleon's cage and hand feed him them. I noticed that he knocked the bowl over and a bunch of the worms escaped in the cage. I noticed that one had metamorphosed into a black beetle and is now prowling around the cage. It's been in the cage for about 3 days and hasn't gotten eaten yet. Will my veiled chameleon even eat a beetle? Or only the larva?

Almost all wont eat them because they have a foul odor. Remove it soon so it doesn't lay a massive amount of eggs in the plants soil.

You could let another few turn to beetles and breed superworms.

Those beetles gross me out though.. I don't mind the larva.
