Sunken closed eyes

Hi everyone. I've had my chameleon for 5 1/2 years now and there's been it's ups and downs I'm sure that everyones experienced but the last couple days have been very different. Usually around this time of year he gets a little depressed from the winter cause its cloudy and gloomy but he always awake and eating just dull colours. So when I saw these symtoms I thought nothing of it being normal this time of year. But when I checked on him yesterday his eyes are very sunken in and closed and the only thing he reacts to is his misting system. So i went out bought all new lights and food and treats to see if i could raise his spirits, but I can't even get him to open his eyes. Today his colours are brighter, possibly from the new lights but still cant get him to open his eyes. I'm also afraid to take him anywhere incase it puts him under too much stress, anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
