Substrate

So I took all the mulchy stuff out of the bottom of my enclosure and it looks bare and boring.. What is there I can put in the bottom to give it a natural look to it? I just went to lowes ad bought a Janet Craig Dracaena, I know it's not really made for climbing on but it has nice big leaves and is non toxic and looks nice. I put some rocks down in the soil to cover up the soil. Also an going to get some vines and find some sticks to build some climbing spots for him.

Definitely get more plants, get a small umbrella plant, and that log on the bottom try to make it stand up more so he can climb to different altitudes. Also on the substrate thing......trust me...it looks ugly but it is alot easier to clean the bottom of the cage;)

Alright I'll stand it up. I did have it standing before I got that plant. I also have some fake pathos vine things I could add also.

1. Substrate, none, it looks ugly but better.
2. Those rocks are small, I'd replace them with a lot bigger ones.
3. Water dish is something I'd remove, they don't drink still water and it'll get bacteria, if it's for food then trust me, they won't stay in there, not even worms.

Personally I hand feed, I know that none escape and it gains trust quickly. If you don't want to do that you can cup feed, there's easy made cup feeders. Just take a milk bottle or something smaller, cut a rectangle out and the bottom, replace the bottom with some screen for drainage so any mistings don't drown the bugs, then run the screen along the back, the crickets will climb the screen but not jump backwards out, and in doing so the chameleon can access them easily.

Yeah, I planned to hand feed him. And thanks for the tip with the cup idea. Ive boughten calcium and vitamins for his food. Also picking up some fruit and veggies to cut up and feed him and the crickets.

What supplements did you buy? You'll need a calcium without d3 for everyday, calcium with d3 for 2x a month, and multivitamins for about twice a month.

I bought Rep-Cal Herptitive, Rep-Cal with D3 and Rep-Cal without.

Thanks for that link! I'll have to make one out of like a 20oz water bottle.
