Hi all. I was wondering what you use for the substrate in your cham's enclosure. Thanks!

Is your enclosure bioactive? If not then it’s preferred not to have any at all. It’s a breeding ground for bacteria.

I think I won't do a bioactive enclosure to start off.

If you're not going full bioactive bare bottom is preferred. Easier to clean/maintain. Also veiled chameleons are known for eating substrate so that's no good.

Ok. Should I do completely bare or paper towels?
