This is my mother-in-law's chameleon, so I can't give accurate info but I'll try.

* Cage Type - 10 Gallon screen/glass combo
* Lighting - Reptisun and Heat, not sure what the light schedule is
* Temperature - No idea
* Humidity - Not sure
* Plants - No
* Placement - In her room away from traffic and noise, higherish
* Location - PA

* Your Chameleon - Male Panther Chameleon, she's had him for about two months now
* Handling - Rarely
* Feeding - She feeds him 10-16 crickets every other day with 6 inbetween
* Supplements - She dusts the crickets 2-3 times a week with calcium
* Watering - She mists him several times a day
* Fecal Description - Says they look good
* History - He used to be ours but we gave him to her, so far he's shed at least three times since she's had him (only a couple of months!) and his colors have exploded, so she's doing something right. :)
* Current Problem - Okay! The meat of the problem... Toshi has always had some crusties that stick to his arse after he poops, we've always just sort of gently pulled them out and away. She sent us images tonight of more crusties but they're larger and she says it looks like a piece of undigested cricket leg hanging out too. I told her I'd look into it so here I am! I've included a few pictures, so beware of crusty poopy looking chameleon arse. Apologies in advance. Is it okay to tug it out gently or let him get rid of it on his own? She wants to describe it as 'worm' looking but it doesn't move, it looks more like crusty poop to me, but all in all we're unsure of how to go about this. Advice is appreciated!

looks like sperm plugs to me.

I'm sure someone will tell you what to do, as I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice.

It appears that what you are seeing is dried sperm. It will become a sperm plug if he is having difficluty deficating. Is he deficating normally?
Anyways, a healthy chameleon can get rid of these on his own.
I had a cham recently shipped to me and it had one of those. I sprayed the area with water and gently pulled it out. Caution here is not to pull too hard as to hurt him.
He should have a much larger cage and should be an all screened cage if you live in the US. The cage size should be 2X2X4 ft. cage.

Very likely sperm plugs. Dont ever be tempted to pull anything from his arse! LOL
Just always ensure adequate hydration. :)
