stress colors on a girl jackie?

what are stress colors on a girl jacksons? when i get her out she is a very soft green, when i mist her cage" which i don't think she likes, she always runs away"
she gets black spots with dark color, her basking color is BLACK, and black, not brown? help??? how do I tell if she is stressed????

How old is your girl? I have a young female Jackson only about 4 months and she is a light pale green when I hold her as well or a soft brown with her normal red spots. When extremely stressed she is black with white/tan spots. My girl doesn't like to be sprayed with cold water. Try using Luke warm water. Not hot. After I started that she wouldn't move as much and would lap up water droplets
Edit-and what are your temps? Maybe it's to cold that's y she is black while basking ??

how long is your cham, mine is about 7 in long? the temp is about 83 dg untill sundown.

They dont like the water when it starts, because it messes with their temp, and they have to reposition themselves, so the water doent get in their nose. Thats my opinion at least. Keep watering, and they will settle down, and start to drink, and love it.

Make sure the water is coming out warmish though, not cold or hot.
