Hello there!
I have a female veiled who is about 2 or 2.5 years old. Last week she had a piece of something (superworm or cricket) that was in her "gums" the area on the outside of her teeth. I was able to use the spray bottle to squirt the piece out of her mouth. Now her mouth is getting very red all on the area outside of her teeth. Is there something I can do to help her? A medication I can request from my vet? She is otherwise in wonderful condition. She laid unfertilized eggs about 1 month ago.
She is fed every other day alternating between crickets, roaches, super worms, occasionally wax worms and veggies or fruit, i dust with calcium w/o D most days, dust with calcium w/D 2 times per month. I change her UVB bulb every 6 months, a heat bulb is used as well. Average temps are 72 overnight, a cool area around 75 and a warm area at about 90-93 she has a mist king system that sprays every hour from 8-5 for 15 seconds. She has a laying bin in the cage at all times. I'm worried she's beginning to get mouth rot. If I should change anything with her daily routine please do hesitate to give me some pointers. Thank you so much!
