I just bought a new X-L Reptibreeze cage for my male Nosy Be Panther. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can purchase a 24"x24" stand, or recomend what youre using to hold your cage?
It seems like finding stands can be the most difficult thing (for me at least). I use 2 night stands to put my nosy be's large enclosure on top of. I am have a drainage tray now so I could easily put it atop one slightly larger table. I feel like it's kind of tough to suggest a stand because everybody's drainage system is different. Id keep your eyes open and check out places like goodwill for some cheap stands or little tables
I found a local guy on facebook. He charged 125.... I thought that was a really fair price. If you find someone to do it just be sure you the doors will allow a bucket to fit through. I had to put a side door put in because after he built it I realized the front doors were too small.
We ended up buying an unfinished, completely assembled kitchen base counter from lowes for $80. Drilling a two inch hole in the counter, and five dollars in pipes and a bucket later, we have a sturdy stand with drainage. with stain and a plain board as the counter top, the entire project was under $100. Only downside was carrying the cabinet up three flights of steps of my apartment. Pics will follow soon.
I use a storage shelf for mine. Something like this can work http://www.walmart.com/ip/Whitmor-Supreme-Wide-Chrome-Stacking-Shelf/3429395
I keep my cage on a 3 tier, I have a 24x24x48 and it does stick off a little on the front and back but I dont have any problems. Underneath I keep a small plastic storage container underneath to catch the water that needs to drain. I have about 5 holes all in a circular pattern in the center and some heavy plants to bring the water all to the center. The 3 tier works wonders with helping to store extra supplies, and to keep your feeders. Ive (hopefully) attached the pictures of my set up for you to see
