:cool:I woke up this morning and turned Charlie's lights on. I walked away to go get his crickets and fresh greens. I come back and he is coming out of the top of the cage:eek: I laughed b/c I think he is going to have an adventures attitude.

Last night I shut his lights off and he climbed to the top where I raised his basking light. Picture below. He isn't in this pic, just showing where he crawls around sometimes. His little dome

So I picked the plastic/wood rasied bask lamp up and he came with the plastic. I sat on my bed and he crawled alittle then I gently picked him up. He didn't hiss or open his mouth this time!:D I tried to put him back in his cage and he grabbed the outside and crawled back to the top. :) So I picked him up again and this time made sure my hand went all in the cage instead of letting him walk in.
Charlie has got me wondering how amazing he will be and he has got me laughing with awww :p

Aww how cute!!! ....just make sure he can't escape or get hurt when your not home.:)...also instead of plastic....use a screen to cover that hole. U don't want any of the rays to be filterd from the plastic

You really should put screen over any holes in a cage... he could get burned crawling out of a hole meant for his lights.

someone always finds something negative. Well the first pic is not a light area, its where his water tube runs into. The second is the raised by plastic and on top is wood. He hasn't been able to climb it or near the lights.

I don't see how giving suggestions for keeping your chameleon safe from getting burned is being negative. I've seen a lot of posts on here where chameleons were burned even though their owner didn't think they could get close enough to the lights to get burned. We don't want your little guy to get hurt! :)

Comments are how you take them. After all, it is the Internet. Is there any screening to prevent him fromgetting into the plastic area? Why is there wood on top of the enclosure?

You should see some of the burn stories and pictures where reptiles (not just chameleons) get burnt terribly. It's horrible to look at and once you see some you'll definately want to take peoples advice on keeping your Cham safe.

I can put screen..
There is beams I cut to put on top of the plastic to raise it higher. Only way of raising it.
