Spoiled Chams

My chams have been nothing short of nicely settled in their routines & enclosures all year. Since the weather has improved & I've take them out to enjoy freedom occasionally, they just screen walk all the time now. when I open the door to feed them now they just want to get out. I understand them wanting their freedom,I would be the same way, but it does make me feel like a jail keeper instead of being a good pet keeper. I might have spoiled them by trying to be nice to them.

I have a house full of spoiled animals. IMO Free range them if you can (have a safe place to free range). Chams are meant to hang out in trees in the jungle not live in a small cage but any time out is better than no time at all.

Free range is best but I don't have time to watch them all the time. My panthers are fine but these jacksoniis really want to be free.

hahah my panthers like to run away and my jacksons seem to hang out in my tree for days and i had one that lived in a tree for 3 months and didnt leave but i think its cause i had a female in a cage hanging from the tree. my panthers just run away and will even jump out of the tree to try and get away:D

I love free range..i hardly have chams exploring the room..they explore the window and stare at the goings on outside (occationally i take them outside)..

p.s. i dont have to watch them constantly..once they settle in (both have been free range since day one of arrival (1 month old) and have loved it)
