Well... ok more that a few but Kona is a very cool place

Thanks! it was indeed fun. I'd move there in a second if I could find a solid job there but then I'd have to sell my collection off :(

I enjoyed the big island and now for me that is Hawaii. I can't even think of going to one of the others. Even Maui & kauai just don't do it for me. They compleye diversity on the big island is wonderful and your pictures capture the feeling for me. Thanks.

PS. I would hurt me cough, cough, but if you moved some of us could be forced cough cough to buy your collection.:D

The Big Island is by far the best place I have been. I have been twice now and am looking forward to getting the chance to go again. I went once in March and once in September and March was the best for me because the humpback whales were there. They migrate there from about November to early April I believe.

Great shots...brings back memories!!

You made me cry... I wanna go some place warm and sunny. I guess I will have to visit this thread often to fantasize. :p Thanks for sharing your nice warm and sunny photos...no jacksonii around?

Well not in the yard where I was staying, most of the photos are from there and the Hilo Zoo.

I'd like to find them over there so I could get shots of them in " the wild "

Very nice! I spent most of the time of my one visit in Hilo; made it over to Kona for a day and a half. I loved the little day geckos (try saying "gold dust day gecko" three times fast); they'd come to the hotel balcony and eat the granola I put out for the birds (and the ants that came to the granola).
