Solar Meter on Sale!

Thanks, Mom! :)

Amazon has them on sale for $215.71.

I'd forgotten what they've been going for of late (~$250-ish?), so on a quick search I found this (allegedly "new") one for $149. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393616166478?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28
However, it looks like a one-off, so caveat emptor.

IMO these meters are essential—even at full-price—though DIY versions are doable for less than $50 (for the parts).

Perfect way to spend your Xmas $ on something important for your cham.

Plus you will save $ on bulbs. I tested my one year old Arcadia bulb yesterday and it is still cranking out full UVB so no need to replace.
+1. (y) I have a 2-yr. old Reptisun bulb that's still running at full strength. 😌

Oh no I don't want to be mom...

I found the deal when needing a second one for my bird store. I like to point it at the sunny window and show that there is ZERO UVB, people argue about this with me all the time! Then of course I can put it under one of my birds' lights to show that it is working. Otherwise lots of folks think you are selling snake oil especially if you tell them they have to date and then toss an expensive bulb that "appears" to be working just fine.
