So where do Petsmart Chameleons come from?

It appears they move lots of Veileds and Jacksons through there judging from what I've read here..


Where do you suppose they get their stock?

i don't know plus petsmart has bad unhealthy pets there don't buy from there

Mostly through wholesalers. They try to get chams from some breeders but they require the breeder to be able to supply all their locations within a general area.

I was contact by their head office about two years ago. They wanted me to be able to supply all their locations here in Canada and only be exclusive to them. I could not commit to the contract. If something went wrong and we were unable to supply the number of chams they were looking for by a deadline, they could then sue. It might be different in the US, but was just not worth the risk here.

^^^. I was also presented with the same "deal". Granted i'd only have to supply 4 stores. But they also wanted some sort of replacement deal, if any were to become ill. This i did not feel completely sold on. I would offer my animals in the best of health, but all it takes is poor husbandry to have something go wrong in-store and i'd have to replace these animals???

Plus they have no value of bloodline and the work it takes.
