I just picked up two Jackson Chameleons, Male and a Female (NOT Related). They are both doing fine, eating and drinking. and the male jackson keep falling a sleep on my son hand and arm. He also sleeps during the day alot is this normal? Is it a trust thing or is it that he feels safe?

The fact that you said he is sleeping during the day means he is ill and needs medication from a vet familiar with reptile care to recover.
If you just got him in the past few days, I'd want the pet store to replace him with a healthy cham or pay for his vet care.

Don't even bother with over the counter petstore medications.
Once a cham shows a symptom of illness, time to act is more limited than most people are willing to believe.

Although we all wish they were different in this respect--chams can't tolerate handling and this is extremely important when they're first acquired.
For the first month after you acquire them, they will need to be just left alone the most.
Chameleons are not very adapatable creatures. Unlike many other types of creatures, like bearded dragon lizards, chams live solitary lives not social lives, hiding in the foliage from predators.
Since Jackson's are not aggressive, it's easy to assume that they don't mind being handled but that's simply not true.
In reaction to handling, they may simply close their eyes because the stress is overwhelming them--but sleeping on a person when newly acquired means he's sick.

Please cut and paste the questions of https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ and post the answers to all of them and we'll let you know if the pet store had you set things up to ensure good helath or not. Often, they don't and the chams get sick, etc.
Please feel free to ask whatever you need to know, as everyonewants to see your cham healthy and your family glad to have him.
