Sleeping with eyes open??

My young veiled chameleon is about 2 months old. I've had him for about 5 days. I've noticed that every time he goes to sleep at night, his eyes are slightly open still but he's definitely sleeping. I've tried putting my hands right next to him, and he stays still so I know he's asleep because if he wasn't he would be running away. Anyways, should I be concerned if his eyes appear to be open?

Yes. I turn out all of my lights but I turned them on one night, and noticed his eyelids are open, but you can't see his pupil. And he is definitely sleeping.

He probably just seen the light on and opened them a slit to see what was going on my guys do this.

I assume his eye is normal during the day?

If he was sleeping with his eyes were closed and you turned on the lights, then he might of started to wake up and then his eyes would be slightly opened, kinda like a little slit. There is nothing to worry about if that is the case. I have seen that with my chameleon also.

Ok. I guess maybe i'm a little paranoid since he's my first chameleon. I just wanted to make sure he's alright and that I'm taking proper care of him. :)

Hey, there is nothing wrong with asking and you are doing the right thing to make sure everything is alright!
