Sleep question.

I just got my first cham 6 days ago. He's 3-4 months old. Doing great. Eating well and very active. The other night he fell out of bed you could say in the middle of the night. He seems to be fine except now his sleep schedual is off. Is there anyway to get him back to his normal one? Also I have yet to see him drink. I have a mister set to mist every three hours for 30 seconds. Any advice would be helpful.

Do you have any lights on at night?

and we dont often seethem drink.

I have 4 adults and i rarely see any of them drink.

Hello welcome to the forum, lights should be on 12 hours a day and no light for twelve, i think he will adjust on his own. As for drinking water your mister set up is good, but do you have a dripper set up? If not you can just take a empty milk jug and poke a whole in the bottom with a needle, works just fine.

I keep his lights on for 12 hours and off for 12. So no lights on at night. No dripper either. I'll be sure to get that for him. Thanks so much. This site has been very helpful. :)

What do you mean it is "off"? Is he sleeping durin the day? If so, he should not be. Oh yes and hello and welcome to the forums!!!!

He was going to sleep at 6 pm and up again at 7 am. The other day he fell off his branch at midnight. Then was awake until 3 am. Went back to sleep and was up again at 7 am. Yesterday he fell asleep at 3 in the afternoon. Woke up at 2 am. He's eating and active still just sleeping at different times now.

That is very odd for him to fall asleep at 3 in the afternoon. Usually when lights are on and it is light out they will not sleep. Sleeping during the day is usually a sign of illness, but that is usually when they are sleeping on and off and it sounds like yours is just going into its complete sleep cycle. or

Yeah I thought it was very odd too. He dosen't seem to be sick. So I have no clue. I figured it was because he fell off his branch and thought it was time to get up. Lol.

Just an update, he is back on a normal sleep time again. Drinking and eating very well. Thank you all so much for the help. I also posted a pic of him as my avi. My little Waldo is doing wonderful! :D
