I am wondering if this is at all normal with veileds. I got Jasper about two months ago and he was about one month old. He seemed to like me and not be affraid of me. Now though it seems like the older and bigger he is gettng the more scared he is of me. I cant even come into his room with out him trying to hide. If I open the cage he bolts to try to hide. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

When they're born to about 3 months they generally aren't happy with being picked up, but they tolerate it because they feel that they can't stop it.

From about 3 months to 6 months they usually get an attitude where they try to hide or defend themselves. You should be happy he isn't a biter (yet :p)

After about 6-8 months they generally calm down enough to gently pick them up, some will keep their old attitude of trying to bite anything they can.

Everything right now is normal. You should be more concerned if he did nothing at all then running and hiding.
