As advised by a Mod I will be posting this in here as I don't have enough posts/time spent on here to post in the classifieds.

So I have a bit of a sad case here. I have a Veiled Cham here in need of some extra love and attention here in Denver. He has a bit of a problem around his eye and some dried poop stuck to him due to lack of care as he was growing up. To give you some back story, I moved to Denver 2 years ago, about 2 months or so before I left, a friend back in California got a Veiled Chameleon and was seeming to take decent/good care of him. Got him a nice 4x2x2 cage, live plants, proper lights etc etc and he was growing nicely. Then I moved away and didn't talk to him for about a year, then didn't get back to CA to his place for another 2-3 months after that, when I finally did and saw his Cham, it seemed to be pretty fine except for looking a bit dehydrated. Now almost a year after that he decided to move to Denver and brought his Cham with him and to my dismay it was like seeing a completely different animal. He was clearly neglected. He was skinny, had dried shed all over him, the problem with his eye and poop being stuck, found out he was living under a coiled uvb since the tube one i left him with broke and my friend was too lazy to find another and settled with a coiled bulb, he is also now in a 2x2x2 cage because my friend has again completely forgotten about him, hasn't fed or sprayed him since he got here(dont worry i have at least) and never upgraded his cage like he said he was going to so I decided to take him in and try to get him back to as good as health as I could and try to find him a better owner.

So that brings me to where I am now. I'm trying to find a new owner for him here in Colorado. He will start getting some help and meds thanks to ferretinmyshoes, a member on here and a local vet, and in the mean time i'll be doing my best to take care of him until he is rehomed.

he of course will be free with a 2.5 month old repti-sun bulb and whatever else he has.

please let me know if you can take him, if needed i can have his original owner deliver him within a 2 hour drive.

thanks

Looking at that last picture, I don't think that is poo. I think it is a prolapse of his hemipene. Did he have that when you took him to the vet? I feel bad for him he is a very handsome boy and I hope someone can help him out. Unfortunately I live in Pittsburgh and just got a new baby so I can only send you good wishes for him.

I also do not think that is poo - I would take him back in and have that looked at - poor little guy :( Thank you for caring about him, its clear your friend does not  I am also to far to help - maybe someone will see this that lives in the area and help you out - again , thanks for helping the cham :)
