Hi again all!
I was looking for a bit of advice about Simone's eating habits.
Since she is only ~9" long, are adult crickets too big for her? I had just been putting the crickets in her habitat for her to hunt & eat, but since laying eggs, she hasn't been too interested in eating much. I put mealworms in her shot glass, but she hasn't touched them. I tried to hand feed her & after the 3-4th time she hissed at me, I dropped/popped one in her mouth while it was open. she seemed really surprised for a sec or two & then ate it. She let me do this 4 times, then she climbed around the back of her branch & just gave me the evil eye. I put the 4 adult crickets & 4 meal worms in a plastic food storage container, but she just looked. the crickets preceeded to eat one meal worm (not friendly). I will see if any are gone when I get home today.
She seemd to eat smaller crickets faster, but again I let them roam. She doesn't move real fast & I think maybe that is because of her previous injury.
I ordered some phoenix & butter worms, maybe she will show more interest.
btw... I stopped at the pet store to tell them the male I adopted laid eggs...they said they didn't have her "professionally sexed" so they just guessed...lol sounds like an interesting career...I wonder how you get to be a "professional"
